Learning the concepts and important nuances of the game will allow you to profit from playing in poker rooms or in offline games.
The main lines of conduct at the poker table
Aggressive
Refers to placing a Hand in the Pot by Raising or 3-betting.
Passive
Prevailingly using Calls or Limps.
Lose
Drawing any Hand, including the weakest.
Tight
Drawing only our strongest starting hands.
Tight-aggressive
Less aggressive Hands without entering the Pot in the Preflop, when the Pocket Cards are unlikely to win. Strong initial combinations enable you to Call and 3-bet.
Luz-aggressive
With the addition of borderline and marginal hands. Used by experienced poker players.
Balanced
The ability to balance the game and modify strategic decisions based on current conditions.
Stack dependent strategy
Stack size determines our playing style.
Deeper Stacks
These are used early in the game or in the cash game with frequent entries into the Pot with Master Conners and Semi-Conquests, upgraded to Nuts.
Medium Stacks
Refusing to play marginal or borderline hands. Line of play is similar to Taito-aggressive, expecting a strong opening combination and a maximum dynamic double-up play.
Short Stacks
Spreading the Stacks with all your Chips in a Poker game also means Betting all in on the preflop.
Cash Strategy
– BSS. A Big Stacks Strategy, where a player sits at the Table with a Hundred or more.
– MSS. A medium stack strategy with a chip limit of 35 –
50B.
– SSS. A short stack strategy.
15 – 25B.
The participant is free to choose the size of the stack taking into account the minimum stack requirement of some poker rooms.
Tournament Strategy
The difference from MTT is in the variation of stack size at different stages of a tournament, from deep stack to push-fold.
Aspects affecting decision-making:
- Prize area. Requires a more careful handling of your line play.
- Final Table. Slowing down the hand as the number of participants decreases. Players with a short stack struggle to extend their tournament life.
